The epitomy of a SUV, Mercedes' G-Class is being used by forest, military and emergency organizations worldwide. The 1/43rd and 1/18th scale models are made by AutoArt.
New for 2006, the new GL-Class was supposed to replace this icon, however, the G-Class will continue to be sold aside his more modern brother until further notice. Models of the new GL-Class are now available in 1/87th (Busch) and 1/43rd (Minichamps).
In 2009, the compact GLK-Class joins Mercedes' growing line-up of SUVs, and the GL will receive a facelift. New for 2012, the G-Class and GL-Class have been facelifted to the new MB design language, and are available in 1:43 and 1:18 scale.
New for 2014, the GLA-Class joins the G-Class lineup as a sub-compact SUV (based on the A-Class), and is available in 1:87 (Herpa), 1:43 (Schuco) and 1:18 (Norev) scale.
The latest releases are the GLE-Class (based on the E-Class), and GLC-Class (based on the new C-Class, replacing the ageing GLK) SUVs available in 1:43 and 1:18 scale by NOREV.
