Click to enlargeTrying to capture a piece of the growing SUV market, BMW has been offering the X5, an offroad version based on the 5-series touring sedan, for quite a while now. All new for 2007 is the facelifted BMW X5 (E70).

BMW also introduced the X3 SAV (= sport activity vehicle), which is based on the 3-series. Models in 1/87th scale are made by Herpa, in 1/43rd scale by AutoArt, and in 1/18th scale by Kyosho.

In 2008, models of the BMW X6 (crossover SUV/coupe) were released in 1/87th (Herpa), 1/43rd (Schuco) and 1/18th (Kyosho) scale. A X6 M-version in 1/18th scale by Kyosho is available as well.

Introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show, models of the BMW X1 (compact SUV based on the 1-series) in 1/87th (Herpa), 1/43rd (Schuco) and 1/18th (Kyosho) are available now.

The newest release is the updated BMW X5 (F15) in 1/43rd and 1/18th scale, and the 2016 BMW X6 M (F86) in 1/18th scale.
